American Legion Post 352 – Somers Point is a veteran’s organization that raises funds for charitable causes, the Veterans Home and awards for Somers Point and Egg Harbor Township Schools. We sponsor concerts and a Little League team, food baskets for needy at Christmas, parties for children on Halloween and Christmas. The rifle squad and color guard participate in flag and memorial services. At a family’s request, perform an American Legion Funeral Service at the viewing of a deceased member of Legion Post #352. Canteen open Monday – Friday from 3:00 PM, Weekends from 12:00 Noon.

The American Legion Post 469 – John A. Kuzman Memorial offers many activities for the community. These activities include publishing a directory every year for Longport residents, sponsorship of the annual Memorial Day parade and serving refreshments after the ceremony. They make contributions to many area causes, including St. Jude’s Hospital and delivering $300-$400 of fresh fruit to the Veteran’s Home in Vineland.

The Ladies Auxiliary to American Legion, Mainland Post #81 is a center for community and civic activities. We implement programs for veterans, their families, young people and community events such as essay contests, dinners, Veterans Haven donations and nursing home visits. The Post is also available for special occasions, such as christenings, weddings, and birthdays (adults). THe maximum number of occupants is 85. The Auxiliary places great importance on patriotism, community involvement and responsible citizenship.
