Peter and his parents, Lucas and Asunta Apodaca are buried in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, San Mateo County, California

Lucas Apodaca (Peter's father), born 12 Apr 1921, grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico (716 S Second  St, Albuquerque ). His father, Antonio Apodaca (Peter's grandfather), was a plumber and had his own plumbing business. In 1940, Lucas is 19 yrs old, single, and listed as a plumbers helper. (see 1930 / 1940 Census)

By June 1942, Lucas is living in CA and marriage application was filed - his financee, soon to be wife, Asunta Gianni, was 17 years old and lived at 189 Hale St, San Francisco, Ca. (see newspaper article)

On 12 Dec 1942 , Lucas Apodaca entered the Navy. SF 2C US NAVY WORLD WAR II. US Naval Construction Battalion No· 4 Special 1944 (see attached)

Lucas Apodaca and his wife, Asunta, lived at 477 Elm St, San Bruno, Ca. Lucas was then a plumber, working for New Mission Plumbing. They had the following children; June 1, 1943, Susan Lou Apodaca; November 12, 1945, Nancy Joan Apodaca; November 15, 1947, Peter Michael Apodaca; February 16, 1952, Richard Anthony Apodaca - they were all born in San Bruno/San Francisco, CA. After Peter's death, his parents lived at a couple other places, inlcluding 9132 N Hillsde Dr, Delhi, CA, and 5718 Northland Rd # 3, Manteca, CA.

1973 Directory

Peter's father, Lucas Apodaca, died on Feb 26, 2002, while residing with his wife, Asunta, at 5718 Northland Rd, Manteca, CA. Lucas Apodaca is buried in Golden Gate National Cemetery, 1300 Sneath Lane San Bruno, CA 94066. Section S Site 1702 (with Peter and his wife)

After Lucas' death, it appears that his wife, Asunta Apodaca, went to live with her daughter, Nancy Joan Apodaca Allison in Puyallup, Washington. Asunta Apodaca died on September 9, 2007, and is buried with her husband Lucas and son Peter in Golden Gate National Cemetery.

Peter's Sister - Susan Lou Apodaca, born June 1, 1943, married Peter DeCleene on December 20, 1969 in St Roberts Parish in San Bruno, CA and then moved to Green Bay, WI. She taught at Holy Family School and also worked at the Brown County Library. She died of cancer on Oct 11, 1997. She was survived by her husband, Peter DeCleene, son Christopher (Becky) DeCleene of Howards Grove, WI, Molly DeCleene of Streator, IL, son Joseph DeCleene of Green Bay, her parents Lucas and Asunta of Manteca CA, sister Nancy (Dennis) Allison of Tacoma, WA and brother Richard (Rhonda) Apodaca of Livermore, CA along with other in-laws.She is buried in St Wenceslaus Cemetery, Klondike, Wisconsin.

Peter's sister - Nancy Apodaca Allison and husband Dennis

Peter's sister - Nancy Joan Apodaca, born, married Dennis C Allison 2 Apr 1971 in San Francisco, CA. In 1996 they lived at 896 W National Ave, Clovis, CA. By 1997 they were living at 2341 S 4Th St, Tacoma, Washington. A more recent, and perhaps current address is 15610 135th Ave E, Puyallup, WA .
