Time: Family Fun 12:00pm-4:00pm / Record Attempt 2:00pm. Preregister: http://www.formstack.com/forms/?1620083-3fccSex24W Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/wtes27  Facebook Event Page: https://www.facebook.com/events/231480650345067/ This was intended to be a fun event at WTES’ 2014 Fire & Life Safety Open House. Unknown to us there was already a Guinness World Record for “Largest Group Stop, Drop & Roll”. We were excited to get 500-1000 people to do it. After applying for the opportunity, they informed us that the current record is held by the Indianapolis Fire Department in 2011 with 1,719 people. It has been a friendly back and forth between Iowa State Fire Marshal and Indianapolis Fire Department breaking each others records through past years. Here is a video of a record breaking attempt in Iowa back in 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfotog9Gpwo  . We have an awesome community as well as surrounding communities. We believe that we can jump in front of Iowa and Indiana and show them what its like to be Jersey Strong! Also, how neat it would be to be a part of history as well as a part of a Guinness World Record. If the record is broken each participant will be able to order a Guinness World Record Certificate!

Tournament begins at 10 am (Rain Date September 14th) Harry Wright Lake, Whiting All proceeds to benefit the Cpl. Nicholas S. Ott Memorial Fund Nick’s (S)mile of Quarters fundraiser all began with a simple fact: those who knew and loved Nick miss his unique, endearing and everlasting smile. It was priceless and his personality was infectious. It has been said that some smiles are worth a million dollars, but Nick’s was-and-remains, invaluable. Nick heroically chose to serve his country and ultimately gave his life, leaving us to honor his memory. We honor his legacy through the Cpl. Nicholas Ott Memorial Fund which benefits the youth of Manchester in a variety of ways. In raising money to support this fund, we continue to spread Nick’s high-spirited enthusiasm for life. That million dollar smile goal is lofty in deed so his friends decided to also honor his love of his school and symbolize his beloved football field with the realistic and fun task of placing a mile of quarters around the track. Please help us reach our goal of raising $15,000 – the approximate value of a (s)mile of quarters. Event will include… Food ∙ Beverages ∙ Poker Run ∙ Horseshoe Tournament ∙ Gift Auction ∙ Silent Auction ∙ Live Music∙ Vendors ∙ Bounce House ∙ Face Painting and more! Visit our website (www.nickottmemorialfund.org) for more info, event updates, tournament rules or to contact us. There will be a $25 registration fee for each the poker run and horseshoe tournament. Log on between August 1st and September 1st to pre-register and secure your spot! The Cpl. Nicholas Ott Memorial Fund is administered by the Manchester Twp. Education Foundation, www.mtef4kids.org.
