Join Philadelphia Chief Inspector Tony Boyle as they Escort Cpl Kevin McCloskey and his wife to Northampton Valley Country Club in Richboro, PA for a Ceremony as they celebrate the beginning of Kevin’s home build – which is being made possible by Homes for Our Troops.
Home for Our Troops is building a specially adapted mortgage free home for Cpl McCLoskey. All are invited to help celebrate the beginning of Kevin’s home build and learn how you can help if you like.
On June 8, 2008, Army Corporal Kevin McClosky was driving in a convoy with the 506th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, in Logar Province, Afghanistan when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device. Cpl McCloskey doesnt remember much of the incident, but has been told he saw a pressure board and swerved to avoid it, taking the majority of the blast to himself. The explosion resulted in the loss of both his legs, vision loss in his right eye, burns all over his body and a traumatic brain injury.
