2 Million Bikers to DC launches website leaving many disappointed and jumping ship
Feb 2014 Update is below this original article….
(Nov 2013) A few days ago, 2 Million Bikers to DC released an announcement that their website is now active. It’s been months coming, and something many have been waiting to see.
The group initially came together in protest of a 9-11 event called Million American March Against Fear (which some dubbed the Million Muslim March). However, before it grew to its fullest height, it’s mission became less of a protest, but of a gathering of American Bikers riding to DC to HONOR all the victims of 9/11 and our military. (Click here).
Bikers and supporters from all over the country showed up in force in DC on September 11, 2013 to honor the 9/11 victims and honor our military.
“We’re here for 9-11,” the national ride coordinator Belinda Bee told the Washington Times. Since Tuesday, riders from around the country have been tweeting photos of their journey to Washington , with early pictures and videos showing thousands of bikes overflowing out of rest stops and parking lots on their way to the event.”….Quote from click here.
“Nearly 1.3 million bikers descended on the nation’s capital in an unprecedented show of patriotism and support for those killed and injured as a result of the events on 9/11/2001…” Quote from click here.
However, from the get go there had been controversy following the Grass Roots Group. The original “Founder” Bill Williamson and Belinda Bee have clashed heads even before the 9/11 ride occurred.
After the 9/11 ride, which most agree left a lot to be desired as far as organization, conflict between Williamson and Bee escalated to compete with even the most popular Soap Opera. All one had to do was log onto Facebook for the daily rants and raves.
It began a division and suspicions rose over 2 Million bikers to DC’s decision to take donations, were they profiting from these donations and merchandise sales, and was anyone being paid/salary – or was it in the cards for the future. Rumors swirled and most were left either choosing sides, or sitting back waiting to see what direction Bee and Williamson ultimately went in.
Williamson and Bee ultimately parted ways and they’ve ceased publicly airing the “dirty laundry” – Bee is continuing under 2 Million Bikers to DC and Williamson under “Top Fuel Bill”, listing him as original founder of the 2 Million Bikers to DC.
Since the initial set up, both groups mission has expanded. 2 Million Bikers to DC no longer is simply a ride to DC on 9/11 to HONOR the VICTIMS of 9/11 and our military – it has become an effort to “take back America” . Their 2014 Bikers Take Back America Campaign includes, on a State and Natl level, organizing Rallies, Rides, Voter Educational Materials, Voter Registration Rallies and if a State(Coordinators) think they need to Rally behind a Constitutional Candidate they can choose to do so; if they feel they need to expose someone in office presently they can choose to do this a well.
For those that were waiting for the launch of the 2 Million Bikers to DC website – the short of it is, yes, there is a membership fee for the “social network” website. There are two choices of membership – $10.00 Basic Annual Membership and $25.00 Annual Perks Package, which includes an official Membership Card, Original 3 1/2 in Patch & Discounts/Perks to for all current and future Sponsors. It is important to note that people are not REQUIRED to “join” their website to participate in events/rides that they support and/or initiate. They can still follow, for free, on Facebook. Do keep in mind though, that the Facebook pages are closed groups, meaning you must be approved to join/view postings – and they are also monitored by the administrators/state coordinators of 2 Million Bikers to DC. You should also be aware that some have been banned or denied acceptance to the groups pages – a form of censorship? ..only allow like-minded people see what rallies/rides they are doing/supporting? … .. if curiousity has you on that, ask the administrators what their criteria is for accepting and banning individuals.
While many were awaiting the launch of 2 Million Bikers to DC website, others awaited the launching of Bill “Top Fuel” Williamsons website. The website appears to be in it’s infancy, with many references to “more to come” and “stay tuned”. Overall though, it does not appear that they are collecting any fees/membership – but they are enlisting sponsors. Click here.to view the website.

As of a few days ago, there were 305,465 likes to the main 2 Million Bikers to DC Facebook page they put up back in July. Now, if everyone signs up on the new website – lets just say for the basic plan, which is $10…. you do the math.
The majority of comments and reactions that were made on Facebook within hours of 2 Million Bikers to DC announcing their website launch was that of disappointment regarding the fees and many were jumping ship.
There is also disappointment for those that thought “2 Million Bikers to DC” would focus entirely on an Annual Ride to DC in Honor of the victims of 9/11 and in support of our military. Bringing fees, possible profits/paid employees, and political issues/rallies into the mix doesn’t set well with many.
In the end however, there are, and will be both supporters of “2 Million Bikers to DC” and of “Top Fuel Bill” – but there has been division and changes, which people will need to weigh on their own.
Im not here to judge. You decide yourself.
