Raymond D. Spalding Vietnam Dog Tag Return In the Works
The widow of USMC Vietnam Veteran Raymond D. Spalding has been located in Louisville, KY and plans are underway to return his dog tag to his widow, Teresa Spalding. More details to follow.
SPALDING, RAYMOND D. , 56, of Louisville, died Friday, September 2, 2005, at Caritas Hospital. He retired from Ford Motor Company were he worked for 31 years, he was a Lance Corporal M.P. Marine Vietnam veteran where he qualified for Sharpshooter, and a member of United Auto Workers 862. He is preceded in death by his father, Everett Earl Spalding; step father, Claude Carroll, Sr.; step brother, Charles Carroll; brothers-in-law, Randy Guinn, Bobby Cash, and Elwood Keeney; sisters-in-law , Mary Ann Spalding, and Cheryl Carroll. He is survived by his devoted loving wife of 30 years, Teresa Spalding; mother, Alma Emerson; brothers, Earl Spalding (Fran) and Claude Carroll, Jr. (Sue); sisters, Annette O’Bryan (Tommy), JoAnn Taylor (Robert), Terry Brown (Mark) and Jannette Keeney Brown (Buddy); step father, Clemon Emerson; step brothers, Eddie Carroll, Robert, Tony and Terry Emerson; step sister, Nathal Harp; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Harold Guinn; mother-in-law, Anna Guinn; and brother-in-law; Mike Guinn (Bonnie). His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Paralyzed Veterans Foundation, Arthritis Foundation, and KY Humane Society.
