The 24th New Jersey’s Mission of Honor Ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 30th to honor 6 Veterans who served in the US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, and US Merchant Marines during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Honoring these veterans is possible through the cooperation of the funeral directors at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, Wyckoff, NJ.
Details as follows:
  • 8:15 am Arrive at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ
  • 8:30 am Ceremony begins
  • 10:00 am Motorcade (motorcycles and all vehicles) departs, with NJ State Police Escort, via I-208 S, to Garden State Parkway South onto New Jersey Turnpike South
  • 11:30 am Arrive at Richard Stockton Service Area (between Exits 7a and 7)
  • 12:00 pm Depart for BG William C Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ
  • 12:30 pm Arrive at Front Entrance – Provinceline Rd – BG William C Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery
  • 1:00 pm Committal Service
All attending the ceremony at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff, must arrive on time as the ceremony will start promptly and end in sufficient time for the 10:00 am departure.
Vehicles wanting to join the motorcade from the Richard Stockton Service Area, must be ready to depart at 12:00 pm for the cemetery.
Note: Payment of tolls is the responsibility of all vehicles, EZ PASS is required to remain with the motorcade, for safety reasons the procession cannot be stopped to accommodate vehicles without EZ PASS.
All are welcome, those attending the Committal Service must arrive at the cemetery front entrance no later than 12:45 PM. Everyone is asked to cooperate and remain at the entrance until being escorted by cemetery personnel to the Committal Shelter .
