Delaware County Veterans Memorial Association Proudly Announces The 2nd Annual Give Blood, Give Sweat, Give Cheer Fitness and Family Fun Festival On Sunday October 1st with Special Guests Vance Johnson and Ralph Galati and Presenting Sponsor SAP

Newtown Square, PA September 7th, 2017

The Delaware County Veterans Memorial Association officially announces the 2nd Annual Give Blood, Give Sweat, Give Cheer Festival on Sunday October 1st with presenting sponsor SAP. Festivities will be held at the Delaware County Veterans Memorial located at 4599 West Chester Pike in Newtown Square PA from 9am to 3pm, with all net proceeds going to operations and education of the Memorial.

Former NFL wide receiver Vance Johnson and Veteran Silver Star US Air Force Captain Ralph Galati are this year’s special guest speakers. Mr. Johnson will be signing autographs and sharing his inspiring story as a former NFL star, his journey to sobriety and the life-saving work he does for festival sponsor, Futures Recovery Healthcare. Captain Galati will share his experiences as a POW at the Hanoi Hilton camp and how he is impacting Veterans today.

The festival will consist of numerous activities for all ages including a Blood Drive organized by The Red Cross and fitness inspired events such as a 5k trail run, a group Yoga Session and various fitness challenges. Live music from Fender Jackson will entertain crowds throughout the day as patrons also enjoy access to a Kids Zone with bounce houses, games and exercise activities, food trucks and local retail vendors. Local brewery Stable 12 Brewing of Phoenixville will be showcasing a variety of their most popular beers as this year’s beer garden sponsor.

“Last year’s festival was a true community success and we’re excited to bring more awareness and support to this world class memorial, while we highlight the dedication and sacrifice of all of our local veterans,” stated Nicole Robinson, board member of the Delaware County Veterans Memorial Association. “For the second year in a row we are blessed to have the commitment of our presenting sponsor, SAP, as well as a multitude of other generous sponsors. We’re looking forward to sharing a day of fun and fitness inspired activities with local families and residents while helping this local embodiment of our American Armed Forces and our military heroes,” finished Robinson.

Headquartered locally in Newtown Square, SAP, the world’s third largest independent software manufacturer and world leader in enterprise applications in terms of software and software-related service revenue is the presenting sponsor of the festival for a second year. Other local organizations such as Main Line Health Systems, GMH Mortgage Services, National Realty Corporation and many others have also contributed to the event, ensuring the festival fiscal success once again. Local companies of all sizes are encouraged to join SAP through various sponsorship opportunities by visiting www.bloodsweatcheerfestival.com/sponsorship.

“The Give Blood, Give Sweat, Give Cheer Festival and the supporting funds that will help the Veterans Memorial continue to grow also draws attention to the American Red Cross’ constant need for blood donations,” stated Robinson. “Starting at 9am, visitors can donate blood and afterwards enjoy the entire spectrum of the festival and cheer on their loved ones in the fitness events,” finished Robinson.
