The Absecon Community Affairs Committee, chaired by Councilwoman Sandy Cain, has finalized its plans for Absecon’s 9-11 ceremony.
The event will take place at the Public Safety Park adjacent to the Firehouse at 6 p.m. Sept. 10. Air National Guard Senior Master Sgt. Michael Monteith will be the master of ceremonies. The program commences when Joseph Lavis, Navy Boatswain of VFW Post 9462, places a call to order. The Absecon Blue Devils Cheerleading Squad will place 350 flags, each representing 10 people who died in the 9-11 attacks. For information, call Cain at 609-645-0572.
