BAYONNE

— Sept. 11: The Bayonne Fire Department will host it’s Sept. 11 Memorial Ceremony at 9:45 a.m. at the City Hall Fire Station, located at 630 Ave. C.

— Sept. 11: The city’s annual Sept. 11 interfaith memorial service and candlelight vigil will be held at 7 p.m. by the Sept. 11 Memorial in Harbor View Memorial Park on the Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor.

The event will feature Rev. Joseph Barbone as master of ceremonies and prayers, reflections, and readings from members of the Bayonne Interfaith Clergy. The memorial will also feature color guads from the Bayonne police and fire departments, Bayonne’s veterans’ color guards, the BHS marching band, the Bayonne honor choir, a bagpiper and a trumpeter, and Mayor Jimmy Davis with brief remarks.

Shuttle buses to this event will be available from the Catholic War Veterans Post #1612, West 23rd Street and Del Monte Drive, starting at 5:30 p.m. For more information on this event, call Jean Perrucci at 201-858-1623.

— The Sept. 11 Bayonne Remembers Committee will host a paving stone program at the “To the Struggle Against World Terrorism” 9/11 memorial in Harbor View Park at the Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor.

Each paver costs $50 and has a maximum of six lines with no more than 13 characters per line. Those who are interested in purchasing a paver, send a completed order form and check to September 11 Bayonne Remembers, P.O. Box 1201, Bayonne, NJ, 07002. –Sept. 11: Grace Lutheran Church is hosting a 9/11 commemoration service at the Teardrop monument, 51 Port Terminal Boulevard at 7 p.m.

GUTTENBERG

— Sept. 11: The town of Guttenberg and the Guttenberg public safety department is having a flag raising ceremony and candlelight vigil at 7:30 p.m. to pay respect and remember to those who lost there lives on Sept. 11, 2001. The event will take place in front of the Guttenberg municipal building, 6808 Park Avenue.

HOBOKEN

— Sept. 11: All are welcome to attend Hoboken’s annual 9/11 interfaith memorial service for the victims lost on Sept. 11, 2001. This service starts at 6 p.m. on the southeast corner of Hoboken’s Pier A park.

JERSEY CITY

— Sept. 11: The 14th annual “Reflections” ceremony, hosted by the 9/11 Memorial Committee and the City of Jersey City. It will start 8:20 a.m. at the foot of Grand Street at the Jersey City 9/11 Memorial. The program will include musical performances, poems, reflections and moments of silence.

— Sept. 11: The American Red Cross, partnering with 9/11 Day, is hosting a Jersey City police and fire 9/11 memorial blood drive for those who lost their lives in the 2001 attacks. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Manhattan Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 2 Exchange Pl., Jersey City. Sponsor keyword is JC911. — Sept. 11: There will be a Journal Square 9/11 ceremony and Journal Square Circle of Honor’s 10th anniversary at 5 p.m. at the 9/11 memorial fountain across from the Landmark Loews Theatre, Jersey City.

— Sept. 11: The Jersey City Medical Center is having a disaster preparation event on the 14th anniversary of 9/11 to share information on how to help out during an emergency. The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the 5 and 6 hospital, 355 Grand Street in Jersey City and will be presented by JCMC’s EMS and emergency medicine staff and the American College of Emergency Physicians. — Sept. 12: The Empty Sky Memorial ceremony will start at 1 p.m. at Liberty State Park, Audrey Zapp Drive. The event is a tribute to the 749 New Jersey residents who were lost in the 2001 attacks. — Sept. 13: Memorial services will take place at Exchange Place, Jersey City to honor both victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States and the Katyn Forest Massacre in Poland during World War II.

NORTH BERGEN

— Sept. 11: The township’s annual 9/11 memorial service wll be held at 10 a.m. in front of North Bergen High School. The event recognizes all victims of the attack, but particularly three North Bergen residents who died: Christopher Amoroso, NBHS Class of 1990, Robert Cirri, NBHS Class of 1980 and Sal Edward Tieri, NBHS Class of 1978. The ceremony also honors Sgt. Marcos Gorra, NBHS Class of 2005, who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2010.

Mayor Nicholas Sacco and the township’s commissioners and schools Superintendent George Solter are expected to attend. The event is open to the public.

SECAUCUS

— Sept. 11: The town will host a ceremony at the library, 1379 Paterson Plank Rd., starting at 8:15 a.m. and will feature color guard, taps, bag pipes, and a reading by school children.

UNION CITY

— Sept 11: The city will host its September 11th Ceremony of Remembrance at 6 p.m. at Liberty Plaza, located at 30th Street and Palisade Avenue. Everyone in the community is invited to attend.

ALSO: PORT AUTHORITY SERVICES IN NEW YORK

— Sept. 11: Port Authority will have a interfaith remembrance service in honor of the 84 Port Authority employees who lost their lives in the 2001 terrorist attacks and the victims of the 1993 WTC attack. The service will take place at St Peter’ Church, corner of Barclay and Church Street in Lower Manhattan at 2 p.m.

— Sept. 11: The Port Authority, at the George Washington Bridge, will also will fly with the world’s largest free-flying flag from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
