In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War, Camden County is hosting a 4 day commemorative event to thank and honor all veterans of the Vietnam Era and their families for their service and sacrifice.

Wednesday, September 4, 2019
– Motorcycle Escort brings the AVTT Traveling Wall to Veterans Island, Cooper River Park, Pennsauken, NJ (details to follow)

Thursday, September 5, 2019
– 6pm – Vietnam Veteran Pinning and Medal Ceremony – Location: Stadium. To sign up for Medal, click here.

Friday, September 6, 2019
– 6:30pm – Candlelight Remembrance Vigil – Location: Veterans Island, in front of the Traveling Wall – Honoring our Camden County Vietnam KIA. Families, friends, comrades and community to be in attendance for this somber and meaningful tribute to our fallen. .

If you are a Family member, friend, comrade or schoolmate of one of our 89 Camden County residents who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam, please RSVP for VIP seating.  Roses, Candles & Flags will be provided to be placed at the Wall. CLICK HERE to RSVP

If you would like to VOLUNTEER to help at the Vigil, we have several volunteer opportunities available, which include Visitor Assistance/Sign In Table, Escorting family members to the Wall, Rose/Candle distribution, set up, and security.CLICK HERE to volunteer.

– 10am – 4pm – Veterans Resource Fair, Family Fun and Concert – 10am -4pm – Stadium. Also featuring Tri-County Symphonic Band & Gary Puckett and the Union Gap

Sunday, September 8, 2019
– 9/11 Heroes Run and Closing Ceremony – The 9/11 Heroes Run 5k +1M fun run/walk welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all levels and of all ages. For more information, click here
