Saturday, April 5: Vietnam War Artifact Displays, Re-enactors, Veteran Sessions: 10:00 am – 3 pm
POW-MIA Chair of Honor Dedication Ceremony: 10:00am. DETAILS:The Battleship New Jersey will host the 5th annual Vietnam War Living History Day on Saturday,April 4 from 10am to 3pm – last tour of the day departing at 3pm. The event, which includesVietnam War re-enactors throughout the ship and artifacts in the Officers’ Wardroom, also features Vietnam veteran interview sessions in the wardroom on the hour from 10am to 3pm. Guests may
attend these sessions as well as ask questions about the experience of these veterans who served in the Vietnam War. Further, the day’s activities will start with a special dedication ceremony of a POW-MIA Chair of Honor
At 10am on the ship’s forecastle (forward deck). The Chair of Honor, which will be forever reserved to
Remember our military men and women lost in action, will be placed on the forecastle for the weekend
and then moved to the new Vietnam War exhibit for next year. The ceremony will feature remarks from
former Vietnam POW Ralph Galati and Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club photographer and veteran Patrick
Hughes. The ceremony is free for guests to attend.
