Monday, February 19, 2018 at 6pm ALL Welcome! Black History Month Special Program Title: Encouraging Diversity in the National Guard  Whether conscious or unconscious, gender microaggressions affect judgments, access, and culture. If left unchecked microaggressions can hinder equity perspectives, diversity, civility and perceptions of self-worth. This engaging presentation provides participants with a framework for a critical analysis of microaggressions that fosters a deeper understanding of our diverse nation’s need for tools to promote positive connections.  Our Guest speaker will be Dr. Carvalho-Grevious. She is the State Equal Employment Manager for the Pennsylvania National Guard, where she serves as the principal advisor to the Adjutant General and manages the Equal Opportunity Programs.  She is an experienced EEO mediator and licensed social worker.  She earned her doctorate in Social Work, Master of Social Science (MSW equivalent) and Master of Law and Social Policy degrees from Bryn Mawr College. In addition, she received her Master of Education degree from Boston University and B.A. degree (in Psychology) from La Salle University.
