This was intended to be a fun event at WTES’ 2014 Fire & Life Safety Open House. Unknown to us there was already a Guinness World Record for “Largest Group Stop, Drop & Roll”. We were excited to get 500-1000 people to do it. After applying for the opportunity, they informed us that the current record is held by the Indianapolis Fire Department in 2011 with 1,719 people. It has been a friendly back and forth between Iowa State Fire Marshal and Indianapolis Fire Department breaking each others records through past years. We have an awesome community as well as surrounding communities. We believe that we can jump in front of Iowa and Indiana and show them what its like to be Jersey Strong! Also, how neat it would be to be a part of history as well as a part of a Guinness World Record. If the record is broken each participant will be able to order a Guinness World Record Certificate!
