Rolling Thunder Chapter 3 New Jersey
Care Package Campaign Committee
Our chapter is in the sincere hope that you might be interested in helping us kick off our Troop Collection campaign in grateful appreciation of our troops serving in Afghanistan. As we are fast approaching the holiday season we are reaching out to the local schools in order to solicit their help in initiating collection drives and sponsorship that will undoubtedly bring some joy and happiness into the rather austere lives of our men and women in uniform, simply by sending them a little bit of home in the way of “Holiday Care” packages forwarded in support of all that they do and continue to do to preserve and protect our freedom.

I am a member of Rolling Thunder Chapter 3 – New Jersey, and leading this campaign we are a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization, whose main objective is to support our Veterans, past, present and those yet to return. Our aim is to make their lives a little more pleasant this holiday season by sending them a little morale boost in the way of care packages of personal items, medical supplies and goodies that are sure to brighten their day. More importantly we are sending them our thanks for a job well done and our undying gratitude for their many hardships and sacrifices, while letting them know they are not forgotten. We want to let them know they are in our hearts and minds, and what better way than sending a little bit of home!

It is always important to honor and remember our troops but it is especially fitting and meaningful from Veterans Day through Thanksgiving and the Holidays! Since it sometimes takes upwards of up to 5 to 6 weeks for them to receive packages in country we find ourselves officially kicking off our annual campaign in early October thru November so that they may enjoy the packages on and around the holidays.

It is in that regard that I write to you today and respectfully request your help in providing any measure of support and assistance that you can provide. I firmly believe we are making a big difference in the lives of these young men and women who have willingly and courageously put themselves out there in harm’s way, and it is but a small token of our appreciation in remembering them in return! Help remind our troops that they are not forgotten this holiday season by helping us send them hundreds of care packages.

We have a drop off location in Belvidere New Jersey but will travel to you should you be close enough.
