Boy Scout Troop 213 is holding a chili cook-off!
Details: Cash prize for BEST OVER-ALL CHILI
Also prizes for:
1) Hottest
2) Most Traditional
3) Most Unique Ingredient
4) People’s Choice
*Prizes are based on the number of participants. We are hoping to have 20 entries.
To enter:
Entrance fee is $5.00. Your recipe should produce one crock pot of chili (beef, turkey, tofu, etc.). You will be required to bring an extension cord, your own condiments, and anything else that completes your presentation. The troop will provide cups for tastings, spoons, and napkins. Three feet of table space is yours to set up. Five guest judges will sample each chili bewtween 2 and 3pm. Event guests:
3 – 5pm / $5.00 per person / families welcome
Entrance fee entitles you to three tastings of your choice. Additional tastings will be available for $2.00 each. Water, soda, and snacks will be for sale. The VFW has a bar for those who prefer an adult beverage.
This event will be held downstairs at VFW Post 3484. You may use the back entrance (the post also has an elevator).
