Come Cross With Us!
Crossing Reenactments Set for December 11 and 25

This year’s first crossing event will be held on Sunday, December 11, from 10 AM to 4 PM (actual crossing time about 1 PM). The 64th annual Christmas Day crossing will take place from noon to 3 PM on December 25 (actual crossing about 1 PM).

During both events, several hundred reenactors in Continental military dress listen to an inspiring speech by General Washington and then row across the river in replica Durham boats. Crossings are contingent upon safe weather and river conditions. If conditions do not allow for crossing, ceremonies, speeches and commemorative activities still occur.

The first crossing on December 11 features additional activities and demonstrations throughout the historic village. Cost to attend the December 11 reenactment is $8 for adults, $4 for children age five to 11, and free for those under five. Proceeds from this event support educational programming at the park.

The Christmas Day crossing event is free, though special VIP Patriot Passes are still available. A Patriot Pass provides event admission, seats in an enclosed tent with great views of the reenactment, and complementary snacks and beverages. Passes cost $25 and must be ordered by calling 215-493-4076 or paying in person at the park’s Visitor Center.

For Reenactors
Reenactors wishing to participate in the Crossing reenactments must complete the reenactor registration form available on our website.

Please note that all reenactors under the age of 18 must complete this registration form AND have a parent or guardian sign and return a separate juvenile release form, located at the bottom of the registration form on our website.
