We’ll ride over to the family home and scoop Gavin up and escort him to a family Christmas party in West Deptford. What better way to bring home a Hero than to the Family at Christmas time.
Gavin is the fourth generation Mikolajczak (pronounced Mick-O-Why-Check) to serve his country. His great grandfather John Mikolajczak served as a Seabee in the US Navy during World War II in the Pacific, his grandfather Dan Mikolajczak was an Electricians Mate in the United States Coast Guard, his father Kevin Mikolajczak (me) served in the United States Army from 1993 to 1997 as a Cavalry Scout (19D).
Four generations of this Family serving our Country. Do we need any other reason to deliver this Warrior to his Family? I didn’t think so…
Gavin is an 18yo PVT in the US ARMY. He recently completed his Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (Military Police) at Ft Leonard Wood, MO. He headed off to Basic in July, 2012 and is just getting home for the first time since then.
Gavin’s a recent graduate of Glassboro High School. He enjoys baseball and all kinds of sports, cars, and X-box. His Mom and Dad, Kevin and Julie, along with his siblings Chris Mikolajczak, Bobby Clothier, Katie Clothier, and Thomas Clothier are eager for his return.
