Death Notice – James O’Hara, 81, of Pittsgrove was ushered into the presence of our Lord on Wednesday afternoon December 18, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. Born and raised in Atlantic City, Jim served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He went on to be a LU#227 Pipefitter working at the Camden Ship Yard, Philadelphia Navy Yard and Salem Nuclear Plant and retired from Progresso Food in Vineland. While enjoying his retirement he was a faithful volunteer at the New Jersey Memorial Home in Vineland. He was passionate about his Vineland “street ministry” and indulged in his creative artistic ability. Jim is survived by his loving wife, of 56 years, Ann O’Hara (Biederman), two daughters, Karen Loder and her husband Chuck of Millville and Diane Steineder and her husband Brad of Vineland, one son, Jamie O’Hara and his wife Catherine of Hopewell Township. He was “Stainless Steel Pop-Pop” to seven grandchildren, Kelly Loder-Lewis, Ryan Loder, Amanda O’Hara, Darrin O’Hara, Matthew DeTetta, Michael DeTetta and Brad DeTetta. He is also survived by one sister, Mona Waters of Bellmawr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service in his honor on Saturday afternoon January 18th at one o’clock at the New Life Outreach Church on Bluebird Lane in Millville where friends will be received between 12 and 1.
