The Gloucester County Veterans Advisory Council, which is made up of the 17 veterans organizations located in Gloucester County is soliciting donations for the Memorial Walk at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. There are currently 7 organization memorials at the cemetery. We are attempting to help raise funds for the organizations that do not have the capability or resources to raise enough funds for a memorial. This year we would like to honor the Korean War Veterans, Merchant Marines and Gold Star Wives with a monument.
On Monday March 18th we will be hold a a fundraiser at Adelphia’s Restaurant (see attached flyer) to raise funds for the above mentioned memorials. Each memorial cost approximately $4,000 so as you can see any amount would be very much appreciated. If you or your Organization would like to attend or make even the smallest donation, please make the check to ”Gloucester County Veterans Advisory Council” and send to the above address. In the memo section of the check please write “Memorial Walk Fund”. For ticket information or if you have questions or concerns please feel free to at contact me at 856-404-9623 or the Gloucester County Office of Veterans Affairs at 856-401-7660
Very Truly Yours,
Bob Henderson
