John Suiter has been a Volunteer even before the CA Hospital was completed, and has been coming to the VA Hospital Community Living Center for 40 years sponsored by the American Legion in Warren. The post has downsized and Joh is retiring from volunteering at the CLC. He would come to the VA every Tuesday night, serve coffee, Milk and cookies. The veterans at the hospital look forward to his visit, he is a fixture at the CLC. Now its a time for changing of the Guard.
Since John Suiter is retiring we need some help to support his effort. The actual cost is minor, typically we have about $50 worth of canteen books and the cookies were donated.
Tuesday night is my regular scheduled visit as a volunteer. We need someone to sponsor this event every Tuesday. We have volunteers already in place, we just need funding, some help, snacks. I can manage the effort, but I am unable to fund the 4 times per month Bingo and snacks.
If you or your organization is able to help out with some donations so we can keep up this tradition for our veterans, please contact me.
