Hiring Our Heroes: Veterans Resource and Job Fair – July 30

Hiring Our Heroes: Veterans Resource and Job Fair – July 30
A job fair specifically dedicated to hiring those who have served our country will be held on Monday, July 30, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, at the Richard Stockton College Campus Center in Galloway.

More than 220,000 service men and women transition out of active duty every year, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Research indicates that employment is a critical part of recovery for wounded and injured veterans, and that employers can play an important role in ensuring their success in the workplace.
“Atlantic County is committed to our military heroes. This is yet another service we can provide in appreciation for their own sacrifice and service for our country,” said Dennis Levinson, Atlantic County Executive.
The veterans resource and job fair is presented by the Atlantic County Office of Veterans Services in cooperation with the college and U.S. Congressman Frank LoBiondo. Registered exhibitors/employers include: Social Security Administration, New Jersey State Police, Tropicana Casino/Hotel, Bancroft Brain Injury, Hi-Tec Systems, Ocean City Fire Department, Catholic Charities, VIP Careers, Broadley Mechanical Contractors, Stockton Polling Institute, Hughes Center for Public Policy, NJ Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center (Wilmington), Organic Soil Enhancers, Atlantic County One Stop, NJ Chamber of Commerce.
Additional registrations will be accepted at www.aclink.org/veterans.There is no fee to participate or attend.
For more information call the Atlantic County Office of Veterans Services at (609) 487-6932.
