Please Join us for our 13th Annual Historic Soldiers Weekend!
This event will be held on September 23th and 24th, 2017 at Fort Mott. This extensive military living history display and show will be held at Fort Mott, a historic Coastal Artillery Fort, which has a Finns Point Military Graveyard just beyond its walls. This event will again feature hundreds of military re-enactors, historic vehicles, live music and guest speakers such as veterans from WWII, Korea and Vietnam as well as several local authors.
Each year, Fort Mott exceeds their previous records for attendance with visitors coming from the Southern New Jersey, Philadelphia and beyond. Each year we hope to expand upon that success by bringing in new exhibitors and new features. This event has been featured on Comcast and the WFN network. Also of interest, Historic Soldiers Weekend (HSW) was honored with a New Jersey State Senate Resolution for be a valuable event in preserving our Military History.
The purpose of this event is to honor our nation’s history and to honor our veterans. The event website; www.soldiersweekend.com, has a variety of event pictures, regional newspaper clippings, a current guest speaker / veteran’s attendance list and other important information regarding the event. Please note that this event is free to the public.
