Andrew F. Jensen Jr.

AGE: 86 • Marlton

On January 28, 2015, Andrew F. Jensen Jr. passed away at home after a lengthy illness. Dr. Jensen was born and raised in California. After he graduated from Redlands University, he attended Eastern Baptist (Palmer) Theological Seminary. During seminary, he met and married Kathleen (nee Van Caneghen). Subsequently, he earned a Master’s Degree from Princeton University and Doctorates from Rutgers University and Pacific Western University. In 1955, Dr. Jensen became a US Navy Chaplain. During his twenty six year Navy career, Dr. Jensen served on numerous ships, at Navy bases, and with the US Marine Corps. He also served two tours in Vietnam, 1964-65 and 1968-69. He retired from the Navy in 1981 after serving as the Fourth Naval District Chaplain. Dr. Jensen then established Family and Psychological Services, Inc. where he served as Director and focused on treating veterans with combat related issues. In 1984, Dr. Jensen and a group of Vietnam Veterans founded the South Jersey Vietnam Veterans Association. Dr. Jensen’s unselfish ministry and service encouraged countless individuals to be successful in life. Dr. Jensen is the beloved husband of Kathleen. Loving father of Andrew F. Jensen III (Carolyn) and David W. Jensen Sr. (Andrea). Proud grandfather of Rachel McAllister (Caleb), Carolyn, Emily, David Jr., Deborah and Matthew Jensen. Also survived by his sister, Mildred Ward (Handley). Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service 11:00 AM Saturday February 7th at Fellowship Community Church, 1520 Hainesport Rd., Mt.
