Dennis M. McGovern age 67 of Maple Shade passed away on Sunday November 30, 2014.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a lifetime resident of Maple Shade. Dennis served
his country in the US Army during Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star. He
was a parishioner and a Eucharistic Minister of OLPH church in Maple Shade.
He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Dennis
was a retired insulator for Thermacon Industries and Associated Corp.
Son of the late Joseph and Virginia McGovern, husband of the late Patricia
(nee Spitz) McGovern who preceded him in death on June 9th, 2014, brother
of the late John McGovern, loving father of Linda “Sue” (Al) Kohlenburg,
Ellen (Ed) Abele, and Donna Goldsmith, stepfather of Douglas (Sandy) Tracy,
Daniel (Gina) Tracy, and Chad (Jennifer) Tracy, devoted brother of Virginia
(Dorian) Johnston, and Joseph (Alice) McGovern, dear grandfather of Nicole,
Eddie, Michael, Joseph, Andrew and Albert, uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and visitation with his
family on Wednesday evening December 3rd, 6-9 pm at the MARK C. TILGHMAN
FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade and Thursday 10-10:45 am
at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main St., Maple Shade. Mass
of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am. Interment will be in NJ Veterans
cemetery.
