Join Warriors Watch and friends to stand flag line for funeral of Joseph Osbourne US. Navy. Flag line to be in place by 6:30pm. Visitation is from 7-9pm at funeral home. Joseph H. Osborne, Sr., age 73 of Berlin, NJ passed away on Wednesday September 6, 2017 at Samaritan Center in Voorhees. Joseph was born in Lindenwold, NJ and was a longtime resident of Cherry Hill and Berlin. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1962 to 1967. Mr. Osborne then spent 25 years in the Naval Reserves. Joseph worked as a mechanic, welder, and millwright. He was a member and past Post Commander of VFW Post 3020 in Delran, NJ. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, as well as being an avid outdoorsman and veteran’s rights advocate.
Viewing will be on Friday September 8th, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday September 9, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Simon Stock Parish, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 178 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ. (Please meet directly at the Church). Interment with military honors will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph’s name can be made to VFW Post 3020, 1125 S. Fairview St., Delran, NJ 08075.
