Warriors Watch Posting -Join us to honor WW II Veteran. PFC Joe Ruggiero proudly served in the US Army from 1942-1945. He was Combat Medic 51st Div. He has earned 1 Silver Star and 2 Bronze Stars. He was deployed to North Africa with US Army 1st Div. Fighting together with the English 8th Armored Div. Then also in North Africa in 1st Armored Div. Tank Unit led by Patton. They left N. Africa to go to Sicily with the 7th Army and deeper into Italy with the 5th Army still fighting the Germans and while on R&R he met a beautiful girl now his wife, still living and by his side. Did I mention he is 96 years young? He’s got a few good stories serving with Patton and how he met his wife. When asked how his homecoming was, he said there was none, he was told to walk through them doors to make sure he didn’t catch any diseases before he went home.
