Barbs Harley Davidson is pleased to announce that we have 2 influential Americans willing to share their experience and history with us during our Iron Elite Exhibit taking place during the entire month of February. Join us in thanking these men for the service they have provided to our Great Nation. Hear their stories, take photos and get their autograph. There will be Music, Food and Drinks for both events.
Saturday, February 6th 1pm at Barbs HD. Master Gunnery Sergeant Joseph H Geeter III. USMC. Joe Geeter served as the 16th Ntal President of the Montford Point Marine Assoc from 2005-2009. Joe is currently as the Natl Legislative Officer and the Natl Public relations officer for the association. The Montford Point Marine Association is a veterans group that celebrates the legacy of the first African American Marines. Recruiting for the “Montford Marines” began on JJune 1, 1942. Thousands of African American men, eager to serve, flocked to recruting offices. Between 1942 and 1949, more than 20,000 men were trained at Montford Point. Once given the change to prove themselves, it became impossible to deny the fact that this new breed of Marine was just as capable as all other Marines regardless of race, color, creed or National origin.
