Jake Moletzsky Run 2 Remember 5K will take place Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Norristown Area High School, benefiting the Jason S. On the evening of October 29, 2009, Norristown native Jason “Jake” Moletzsky, was one of seven guardians and two marines who were lost at sea when a Coast Guard C-130 suffered a mid-air collision with a Marine Corps AH-1W helicopter.In 2011, a small group of Coastees in the Florida Keys set out to change the way fallen Guardsmen are remembered. Focusing their efforts on action instead of words, they proposed a 100 mile “Run 2 Remember.” Due to its tremendous success and meaning to family and friends of the fallen, groups all over the country are hosting their own Run 2 Remember in their communities. Family & friends of Jake have chosen to bring this run home.
