The Armed Services Council invites all members and guests to attend our annual Air Force Birthday Celebration honoring Lieutenant General R. Scott Williams, Commander, 1 AF Air Forces Northern and Commander, Continental U.S. North American Aerospace Defense Command Region.
You’ll be flying high at this year’s Air Force Birthday luncheon! We are celebrating 70 years and still going strong! We are very pleased to have guest speaker, Lieutenant General Williams, on hand to give us a brief update on the current situations the Air Force is handling and what’s to come in the near future. As the Combined Force Air Component Commander for North American Aerospace Defense Command and the Joint Force Air Component Commander for U.S. Northern Command, Gen. Williams oversees three distinct missions: homeland air defense for the continental United States, aerial support of civil authorities, and theater security cooperation for North America. Additionally, 1 AF ensures the operational readiness of assigned, aligned or gained forces for homeland defense, defense support for civil authorities and world-wide AEF missions.
