Come out & celebrate the 246th Marines Birthday on November 10th at Tankie’s Tavern aka Cookie’s Tavern in South Philly! Open to the public!
The tradition continues that started over four decades ago! The Marines Birthday Celebration will take place 10 November starting at 10 am. It will continue outside until approximately 10 pm and the bar will stay open until 2 am! The bar is located at the corner of 10th & Oregon!
The ceremony that officially kicks off the party starts at 1 pm on center stage. There will be singing of the National Anthem by Philly’s very own Mia Johnson! There will be the reading of the Commandants Message, cake cutting ceremony with the youngest and oldest Marine present, a special award presented to that one person who has dedicated their year in helping veterans and such, live music by Hickstown Road band, a DJ later in the evening and a very very special presentation that will honor the Marines Birthday Celebration in South Philadelphia!
