“VETERANS DAY OF AMERICA” AT THE BALLPARK. ALL VETERANS ADMITTED FREE, ALL OTHERS $5. GATES OPEN AT 4PM. PRE-GAME CEREMONIES 4:15PM
GAME TIME 5:05PM. (Free t-shirts to the first 2,000 fans) Please join American Legion Riders Post 12 as we honor those members of our Armed Forces who answered our Nation’s call to serve the cause of freedom, and who are not with us today. We present this “Missing Man Chair” as a permanent reminder of their sacrifice and service. May we never forget those that paid the ultimate sacrifice, including our POW’s/MIA’s. It is our intention that this “Missing Man Chair” will pay humble tribute to them, and bear witness to their continued absence. To the best of our knowledge, this will be the first “Missing Man Chair” installed at a sports stadium in the State of New Jersey. American Legion Riders Post 12 will be bringing veterans from the Lyons VA Hospital, as well as two former POW’s to the event. The ballpark will pay special tribute to our former POW’s. If your group has a former POW that you would like to honor, please let us know as soon as possible.
