6:30pm. Please Join us along with American Legion Post 281 for a short Veterans Day ceremony.
7:00pm Military Support Group of New Jersey MEETING begins ……. until about 8:15pm
8:15pm to 9:15pm wrapping Holiday Items for the Care Packages for our Deployed Active Duty Military. ( small puzzles, UNO cards, small handheld games, Small cans/bags of nuts, beef jerky, white cotton “to the calf” socks, Candy canes, small boxes of chocolates, hard candy, etc. ) Thank You!
We are also collecting “regular “ care package items such as sunflower seeds, pop tarts, granola bars, peanut butter crackers, gum, hard candy, small toiletry items no aerosol please, comic books, the Sunday comics, Chapstick, etc.
Each Month, We collect. non-perishable unexpired grocery items for our active duty military families at Pomona airbase outside of Atlantic City and joint base Maguire/Dix/Lakehurst. Cereal, juice, cake mix, cans of frosting, oatmeal, cereal, macaroni and cheese, brownie mix, jars of spaghetti sauce, pasta, peanut butter, jelly etc.
Lastly, If You Know Anyone who is Deployed, please email karenJJennings@aol.com with their APO or FPO address and roughly the date of their return…this way a box will go out to them EACH month of their deployment!
