Mural Arts Philadelphia has partnered with the Fox Chase community to create a mural honoring Firefighter Daniel Sweeney who lost his life in the line of duty on April 9, 2012 while protecting the citizens of Philadelphia. This new mural by Philadelphia-based artist Nathaniel Lee focuses on Sweeney’s life growing up in Fox Chase and his career with the Philadelphia Fire Department.
The paint day will offer family-friendly options for all ages including mural painting, face painting, balloon twisting, temporary tattoos, and other fun art activities for kids. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. No experience needed, all ages are welcome!
