This year, National Wreaths Across America day will be held on Saturday, December 19th, 2020 at Laurel Hill Cemetery. A ceremony will begin in the courtyard at 10 AM followed by the placement of wreaths honoring the many veterans in these historic grounds. The day is open to all but we will strictly adhere to the outdoor event capacity limits set by the City of Philadelphia which will be determined closer to the date. Please call the cemetery at 215-228-8200 to learn more the week before the event.

This year the goal is to place at least 300 wreaths, but we have closer to 1,500 known veterans. With your generosity, we are hoping to meet this goal and ensure as many veterans are remembered as possible. Each hand made, fresh, live wreath cost $15 to sponsor and is made in the United States with Maine balsam. If you donate through The Friends of Laurel Hill & West Laurel Hill Cemeteries on this page

https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/47144/Overview/?relatedId=0

then $5 of each sponsorship will be given to the cemetery and placed in the Veteran’s Gravesite Fund. This fund is used to install VA markers on unmarked veteran graves and supply veteran graves with aluminum flag holders.

On behalf of the volunteers and military families looking to honor all the veterans laid to rest at Laurel Hill Cemetery and the Wreaths Across America extended family, I thank you for your consideration of this patriotic cause.
