September is National Recovery Month. In keeping with that directive and forging ahead in our collective vision to celebrate the reality of recovery, New Jersey’s grassroots recovery support community are pleased to announce a family friendly statewide Recovery Rally event at the Rutgers Athletic Center (83 Rockafeller Road, Piscataway, New Jersey) on Saturday, September 20, 2014. The prevention, treatment and recovering communities are uniting to raise awareness, create synergies and serve as the “tipping point” for effectively addressing the disease of addiction. We anticipate this event will go far to offer hope to the suffering, demonstrate the reality of recovery from addiction and serve to eliminate the discrimination and stigma attached to this prevalent disease.
As a socially conscious member of the community, you understand the positive impact an event like this can have on the lives of those in need. And we embrace your interest in making New Jersey a state where its people can live healthy and full lives, including freedom from the bondage of substance abuse. This event is not designed as a fundraiser and all donations are tax deductible through our event fiduciary, NCADD-NJ. Towards that end, we are inviting you to attend, participate as a donor, sponsor and/or exhibitor/educator at our event. This is true GRASSROOTS: of the people and for the people. We welcome you and hope you choose to join with us in making this a successful celebration for all!
