WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE VA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM – QUESTION & ANSWER SESSION. The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation invites all Veterans and Veteran care takers to a free information seminar,on Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.The National Center for PTSD promotes awareness of PTSD and effective treatments throughout the year. Starting in 2010, Congress named June 27th PTSD Awareness Day. Since then, during the month of June, the Center works to help us raise PTSD awareness.
The seminar will be held in conjunction with the Veterans Administration Health Care Community Outreach Team. All Veterans and families are encouraged to attend. Veterans seeking information on how to enroll in the VA health care system should bring a copy of their DD214 separation papers to the seminar.
A presentation regarding health care eligibility and benefits will be followed by a Q & A session with Veterans Administration staff. Information about non-health related benefits including home loans, life insurance, filing disability claims, and death and burial benefits will be covered. Registration is not necessary.Contact Lynn at 732-355-0033 x100 or [email protected] with any questions
