Quest for the Pellegrini Heros Cup.
Philadelphia Police vs Fire Boxing Event is almost here, so grab your friends and co-works for a great night out to watch Cops and fireman beat each-others face in. This is an Annual Event Hosted by Phila Police and Fire Football team (Blue Flame) money raised supports BlueFlame Football Charity efforts.
Last year we named and dedicated our Throphy to A Phila Police Boxing Team Hero, the late Officer Gennaro Pellegrini, Jerry was a phila police officer, national guard soldier, gold glove fighter and member of our police boxing team. On Aug. 9, 2005, Pellegrini’s family, his many friends and those he touched in the 26th Police District learned that Pellegrini was killed in action in Iraq. A land mine went off under his armored Humvee. Jerry, as he was known to friends, and three others in his National Guard unit were attacked outside the northern town of Beiji.
We were Honored to have members of the Pellegrini Family in the Ring for an opening ceremony and for the Dedication of the
Gennaro Pellegrini Heros Cup.
And we will be honored again this to have the Pellegrini Family Present to walk the fighters in with the Heros Cup and fighters into ring.
