BECOME A PART OF PHILADELPHIA’s 1st Official VETERANS DAY PARADE !
(Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware)

Dear Friends,

joinus-facebookThe Philadelphia Veterans Day Committee will be holding the 1st Official Philadelphia Veterans Day Parade this year. The Philadelphia Veterans Day Parade will focus on veterans throughout history while commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the end of World War II, the 50th Anniversary of Vietnam and the 25th Anniversary of Desert Shield. The Philadelphia Veterans Day Parade Committee welcomes veterans/organizations from PA, NJ and DE to participate.

DATE/TIME: Sunday, November 8 2015, rain or shine. It starts at approximately 12:00 PM and concludes around 3:30PM.

Picture2ROUTE: The parade starts at the intersection of S. Broad St and Walnut St. The parade will march north to City Hall and make a quarter turn and head east on Market St. to Independence Hall. The route is 1.0 mile (approx. 40 – 50 minutes on foot).

APPLY to PARTICIPATE in the PARADE: To participate in the parade (whether marching, riding in vehicle/float, motorcycles, etc), you will need to fill out an application.

Applications will be accepted (on a space-available basis) until October 1, 2015.

For more details about the parade and to download the application, or fill it out online, go to http://www.phillyveteransparade.org . You will also find information on criteria for entering.

The Philadelphia Veterans Parade Committee prefers that the application be filled out online, so please do so if you are able. If you are unable to fill it out online, please download/print it and send it to the address listed on the application. To review the application before filling out, see below, or click here to download it.

(Attn: Riders/MC’s – At this point, I do not know if the motorcycles are leading the parade, or are intermingled – realize this is question several MCs have – if this is something you need to know before proceeding, I would suggest you email comservinit@yahoo.com and phillyvetsparade@gmail.com and ask the Philadelphia Veterans Day Committee for more details)

They also have a FACEBOOK GROUP – to join the Philadelphia Veterans Day Parade Group, click here or go to https://www.facebook.com/groups/1626610164264984/

Kind Regards,
