The SJHS Key Club is hosting an event on POW/MIA Recognition Day. The objective is to remember those who were prisoners of war and those who are missing in action, as well as their families. We believe that this ceremony will not only honor those men and women, but it will also bring awareness.

The evening will consist of a Missing Man Ceremony led by some members of The South Jersey Young Marines, a talk from a family member of a POW, a prayer from the church Pastor, and an invitation to stay for cookies afterward.

A dog tag with the words POW/MIA will be given to the first 100 attendants.

We are inviting anyone interested in bringing a picture or name of a POW/MIA that they would like to honor, or have prayed for to please do so. We will have tables set up for the pictures to be placed.

Our guest speaker for the evening is Tiffany Yarina.
Tiffany is a veteran who served with our Army National Guard for 6 years. She is originally from Northeast Pa, the Wilkes Barre/Scranton area, and now resides in Voorhees, NJ.
She served with the 728th Main Support Battalion of the 28th infantry division with the PA Army National Guard as a motor transport operator. Tiffany was set to train with former POW Jessica Lynch before taking the whole semester off of college to do all of her training in one amount of time, therefore changing her military base from Fort Jackson to Fort Sill.

Her uncle was a POW so this is something near and dear to her.
She is passionate about the plight of the POW and is looking forward to sharing with us!
