This 5K run and 1 mile run is the inaugural race to bring attention to the 74 sailors lost in the South China Sea during the Vietnam War. The Federal Government has not recognized these sailors as Vietnam War casualties. The race will be conducted on the North Wildwood Beach and there will be a certified timer at the finish line for those runners who need certification. Race date is Sunday May 27th at 9:00 am. On site registration will begin at 7:30 am. All ages are invited to run or walk. Families welcomed. Entry fee is $25 in advance and $30 day of race. Please visit our site:

Prior to the race the CASKET FLAG of Patrick Corcoran will be flown at the North Wildwood Beach Patrol Building. This is the flag that was stolen and recovered one week later at 11th and New Jersey Avenues, North Wildwood. Please call Bill Davenport at: 609 827-0588 for information. All proceeds will be for the benefit of veterans in the Greater Wildwoods.
