The Atlantic County American Legion Auxiliary Juniors are collecting sneakers to help cover the costs for benches to be placed at veteran locations in the county. They have partnered with the recycling company GreenTree Plastics in Indiana, Products from 100% Recycled Plastics – Home of the ABC (A Bench for Caps} Program. The ABC. For each bench the kids will have to collect 200 lbs of plastic lids & $250. Knowing that times are tight, the sneaker collection seemed to be a good fit.
