On Saturday, April 26th (rain date 4/27), Indian Acres Tree Farm in Medford, NJ will be
hosting a “Doo-Wop” concert featuring the New Jersey singing sensations, “Sounds of
the Street”. Cost for the show is $20 for adults; children under 12 free. Additionally
there will be free family oriented activities for children, with a live band and food
vendors throughout the day from 10am – 4pm.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the military through the Armed Forces Heritage
House Museum (AFHHM) whose mission is to build a world-class military museum at
the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. Among its current initiatives is a “Living
History Project” which are video interviews that capture the stories of active military
and veterans in New Jersey who have distinguished themselves through their service to
our great country. This “celebration” event will serve to honor the contributions and
sacrifices made by them as AFHHM strives to preserve their legacy through the living
history project, which will be incorporated into the museum experience.
For more information on the event, and to order tickets you can contact their web site at:
www.afhhm.org. Sponsors for the event are also being sought, and details can be found
on their web site as well.
