Wild Bill Guarnere WWII hero, South Philadelphia native and member of the BAND OF BROTHERS. Please join the Family & Friends of Wild Bill Guarnere for a Bronze Monument Fundraising Event. Friday, January 16th, 2015. 7pm ~ 11pm. Popi’s Italian Restaurant, 3120 South Street, South Philly. $50 per person. Hot Appetizers and Cash Bar, Wild Bill Memorabilia, Silent Auction, Raffle Baskets. William J. Guarnere (April 28, 1923!– March 8, 2014) was a United States Army soldier who fought in World War II as a non-commissioned officer with Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, in the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division.
