I am Jim Dillard, 7 year (at least) member of The Delaware Patriot Guard and a former member of A Heroes Welcome DE. I started an event to place Flags on un decorated grave markers in both of Delaware’s Veterans Cemeteries. I believe ALL Veterans graves should have Flags. To date we have placed approx 16,000 Flags on Both Cemeteries.
This event is in two stages: June 23rd in Bear, DE and 24th in Millsboro DE. Funds are donated and the cemetery sized Flags are placed by volunteers. Boy, Cub, Girl Scouts and Brownies, Young Marines, all ages are welcome. It’s a rain or shine event, usually takes less than an hour and greatly improves the appearance of these beautiful facilities.
