The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is an annual, global display of support and camaraderie between law enforcement representatives and the athletes of Special Olympics. Fifty-two law enforcement representatives and six Special Olympics athletes from throughout the United States will carry the Special Olympics “Flame of Hope” on three simultaneous routes throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania as part of the prestigious “Final Leg Team,” conducting ceremonies along the way toward the torch’s final destination: lighting the cauldron at Opening Ceremony of the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games at Prudential Center in Newark on June 15.
