I am reaching out on behalf of our organization to invite you to our 1st annual charity cornhole tournament, “Tossin’ For The Tender.” Taking place on September 16th, 2023 at Ark Brewery in Lumberton NJ. This exciting event aims to raise vital funds for The Tender, a 501(c)3 charity that provides support to individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia through their respite program.

Alzheimer’s and dementia have a profound impact on people’s lives. The Tender works tirelessly to provide relief, assistance, and support to those facing these conditions. We want to improve their quality of life while fostering a sense of community and hope.

In New Jersey, we face a significant challenge in caring for those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. Over 272,000 unpaid caregivers selflessly dedicate their time and energy to support their loved ones, and 80% of individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s receive care at home. These caregivers face emotional, physical, and financial strain.

That’s where you come in. By participating in “Tossin For The Tender,” you can make a real difference. Your generous donations and sponsorships will provide vital resources, educational programs, respite services, and emotional support to caregivers, as well as create a safe environment for those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Your support will help us:

1. Support Unpaid Caregivers: We’ll offer assistance programs, resources, referrals, and support groups tailored to meet the needs of Burlington County NJ caregivers. We aim to alleviate their burdens and help them care for their loved ones while maintaining their well-being.

2. Community Outreach and Education: We’ll organize educational seminars and workshops to increase awareness about Alzheimer’s and dementia. Empowering individuals with knowledge and resources will enhance early detection, reduce stigma, and provide guidance.

3. Respite Services: We’ll establish programs that offer temporary relief to caregivers, allowing them to take a break and care for themselves. These services will ensure the well-being and dignity of individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia while also enhancing and fostering independence.
