Parsippany Township’s American Legion Post 249 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10184, in conjunction with the office of Mayor James Barberio, will hold their annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Nov. 11.

Wreaths will be laid at the Veterans Monument and Color Guards from both veterans groups will be on hand. Township third-graders will perform “You’re a Grand Old Flag” and “God Bless the USA” will be sung by third-graders from All Saints Academy.

Michelle Musolino-Roberts will perform the National Anthem and “America the Beautiful,” and Eileen White of the Daughters of the American Revolution will explain the meaning of Veterans Day.

A cannon salute will also be presented by Lamb’s Artillery, a Revolutionary War re-enactment group.

Dignitaries including Barberio, Monsignor Tillyer of St. Peter the Apostle Church, Rabbi Shalom Lubin of Congregation Shaya Ahavat Torah, and Reverend Jeff Edwards of United Methodist Church of Parsippany will all be in attendance as well.

The ceremony is set for 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at Veterans Memorial Park. All are welcomed to attend.
