Place: Firebase Lloyd, 474 Flemings Landing, Townsend, DE. Date Oct 20th. Time: 12 Noon. Please join us as we honor the 16000 women whom served in the Vietnam War from 1965 until 1973. During that time, 8 women soldiers were killed. We call them “The Forgotten Heroes”. Some of these women were USO, some were secretaries, Air Controllers, and others served in different duties. There were 11000 Nurses who served. The Memorial is a small reminder of what these women did in the War, and how much we respect and honor these brave women.
