Please come out to finally welcome home 1st Class Petty Officer Steven Thomas from his deployment in Iraq, the Middle East, and also to celebrate his retirement after 20 years of active duty service with The U.S. Navy.
- Steven M Thomas, born in Woodbury NJ
- A Graduate of Gloucester City High School, Class of 1990.
- Joined the Navy on August 10th,1992
- His hobbies are: Fishing, football, horse shoes, volley ball, and wood making.
- Steven M. Thomas has been married to Jennifer L. Thomas (Green) for 20 years now.
- Both grew up in Gloucester City, NJ and both graduated from Gloucester City High School.
- Both Joined the Navy together!!
- Steven was a Navy Seabee.
- Jennifer was an (AMS) Navy Aircraft Mechanic (5 Years and Discharged with Honorable Discharge).
- Steven M. Thomas has an Associates Degree for Construction Technology and just opened his Bachelors.
- Steven and Jennifer have two children: Jessica (10 years old) and James (7 years old)
- Steven is coming back to NJ to retire in September, 2012 after 20 years of service with Honorable Discharge.
- Medals earned during career: National Defense Service Medal, Expert Rifleman Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal (5 of them), Navy Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon (9 of them), NATO Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Kosovo Campaign Commendation, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (2 of them), Army Commendation Medal, Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist, Coastguard Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal
